Comic Book Review: Lazerman

If you are ever in the mood for a comic book that’s full of adventure, humor and has some of the spirit of comic books like Spider-Man and Nova then I have found the right comic for you: Lazerman. Published by HB Comics and created/written by Alan Hebert Jr., and art by Chris Hebert, Lazerman follows the exploits of a college student named Alex Sanders. Alex was caught in the way and was hit by a ray from a mysterious laser-gun that gives him super-powers. He goes from a geeky kid who reads his favorite comic book character, Stupendous-Man, to becoming a superhero himself although be it a very rough start. He is not alone. He has his college roommate, Walter Simms by his side. Lazerman has over-the-top villains and a silly sense of comic relief that gives this comic it’s own charm and style. There are currently seven issues with two story arcs: This Man, This Lazer and Night of the Necrolord. I enjoyed the second story arc more than the first, but that is only because I enjoy zombie culture. This comic is definitely worth a look and I hope that it continues with further adventures.
